IWF Assistant Director

Elder Brenda Joyce Buford is the sixth of nine children born on May 21st 1955. She received her education at the Michigan State University and Delta College. She became an Accountant for the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Michigan for 14 years before retiring from AT&T Communications after 26 years. Currently she works with her two sons in their businesses, as the Financial Director of Jebtal Imports, LLC and Karuna Hair, LLC in Troy, MI.

Thirty-five years ago, she met and married the love of her life, Bishop James Buford, Sr. and they have 7 beautiful gifted children and 8 wonderful grandchildren.

Elder Buford serves faithfully as the First Lady of Apostolic Faith Church of Saginaw (1988) and currently at Zion International Ministries of Ferndale since 2005.

Over the years she has served in many Local, State and National Capacities including the Founder of the National Young Women’s Forum. She currently holds the offices of Vice President of the International Women’s forum (IWF) and International Pastor’s Alliance (IPWA), the Great Lakes Conference Women’s Forum and Vice President of the GLC Pastor’s Wives Alliance.

In 2007, she became an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith Incorporated, scoring the highest grade in her class. She now holds the title of the first ordained 1st Lady in the organization.

Out of all the above ministries, the best and most important is when Jesus called her and chose her to become one of HIS.
